UX Designer - Norway

Role

Join Zenitel's design team as a UX Designer, working on products that connect people with technology and help users perform at their best in demanding situations.

Tasks

• Plan, structure, and develop digital and physical user interfaces for Zenitel's products.
• Understand user needs, structure content, prepare wireframes and prototypes (paper and digital).
• Deliver "pixel-perfect" graphic design and code-finished solutions in Slint.
• Carry out user tests, design workshops, interviews, and user surveys independently and collaboratively.
• Visualize and describe user needs and problems for the team.
• Develop ideas and concepts from sketches to digital and physical prototypes.
• Organize and manage design teams and work.

Requirements

• Educated in design (product, interaction, or equivalent) at bachelor's or master's level.
• Experience in interaction design and user-centered design processes.
• Enthusiastic, curious, with a well-developed aesthetic sense.
• Skilled in idea and concept development with attention to detail and big-picture thinking.
• Experience or advantage in coding or implementing graphical user interfaces using frameworks such as Slint, Qt, CSS, or similar.
• Fluent in English (spoken and written).
• Willingness to undergo Semac background checks.

About Zenitel

Zenitel is a Norwegian technology company with over 125 years of history, developing communication products for professional users in exposed locations such as ships, schools, office buildings, trains, and offshore installations. The design team is split between Oslo (Torshov) and Horten offices, working on both existing and new products. Tools used include Figma, Adobe, and Slint for UI implementation. The company manufactures most products in Europe and has its own prototype and test lab.
